People throughout North East Lincolnshire have been urged to back a plan setting out how the area will continue to tackle the threat of COVID-19.

Works to install a pedestrian crossing point on Bluestone Lane in Immingham will start on Monday, July 6 following a petition by residents.

North East Lincolnshire Council continues to strive to create a greener, cleaner borough following the submission of a revolutionary bid to the Department for Transport to become one of the first all-electric bus towns in the UK.

A public and private partnership between North East Lincolnshire Council and the owners of Freshney Place is bidding for £25-million of Government cash to transform part of Grimsby Town Centre.

Born in the former Nunsthorpe Maternity Hospital and raised in Grimsby, talented international artist Annabel McCourt is delighted and proud to be working on a major project in the heart of the town.

Road testing works will be taking place at various locations across North East Lincolnshire in the coming weeks.

Work on the next phase of a new £8.5m road linking the ports of Grimsby and Immingham starts next week (w/c June 8) following a Covid-related delay.

Work will start on Monday, 8 June, on a £1.5m transformation of Grimsby’s St James’ Square, with plans that centre on creating a family-friendly space in the heart of the town.
