People have had their say and responded to the final round of surveys on a proposed protected cycle lane on Weelsby Road, between the junctions of Bargate and Peaks Parkway.
A large number of people completed the survey. Those who fed back included residents, business owners, cyclists who use the route, and staff and students at the Grimsby Institute.
The consultation period has now closed and the results will be presented to Cabinet on Wednesday 1 December.
“As a council that listens to our residents, we’ll carefully review all the comments and concerns expressed in the survey,” said Councillor Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for environment and transport at North East Lincolnshire Council.
“This feedback is essential to our decision-making and I look forward to reviewing the results, especially after such a strong response from the local community and the area’s road users. Please be assured that your comments will be taken into consideration.”
The protected cycle lane was proposed after concerns were raised in the first engagement survey about cyclist safety.
