A celebration was held at Grimsby Town Hall today to mark the new Mayoral year.
Terry Walker was elected as the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire by his fellow councillors in May. He is serving for one year, until May 2020, with Councillor Hazel Chase as his deputy.
Members of the local Conservative group joined together at Grimsby Town Hall to mark the occasion this afternoon.
The Mayor is the first citizen of the borough and undertakes an important ceremonial role in and outside of North East Lincolnshire. He is politically neutral in carrying out Mayoral duties.
This year, the Mayoral Fund will focus on support to young people in the borough.
To apply for up to £250 worth of funding, complete this application form before 30 April 2020.
