North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner, ENGIE, will be starting works to resurface the carriageway on Fieldhouse Road, Humberston, from Monday, March 2.
The works will take place between the junction of Midfield Road and finish before the shops near to Lidgard Road.
For the works to be carried out safely and to reduce disruption to local road users, residents and businesses, the works will be completed in the following phases:
- Replacement of damaged drain gullies and kerbs will start on Monday 2 March and be completed by Friday 20 March. These works will be carried out under local traffic management (cones and barriers). The road will remain open during these works.
- Carriageway resurfacing works will start on Monday 23 March and take five days to complete. During these works, a full daytime road closure will be in place between 8am and 6pm and parking temporarily suspended to allow the works to be carried out safely. Footway access will be maintained at all times.
Advanced warning signs will be in place during the works and affected businesses and residents will receive a letter detailing the works and providing details of the contractor.
During the carriageway resurfacing works, access to businesses on Fieldhouse Road will be maintained via North Sea Lane. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
North East Lincolnshire Council and its partner ENGIE would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by these improvement works. Visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/roadworks for the latest live travel information in the borough, including congestion and roadworks.
