North East Lincolnshire Council and its delivery partner, Equans, are carrying out improvement works to bus stops in Grimsby.
The works include raising the kerbs of existing bus stops to make it easier for people with disabilities to board and disembark the bus. Line marking works are to be followed in February. These works are part of the Local Transport Programme.

Bus stop outside 184 Waltham Road, Grimsby
Works will begin on Monday 16 January and will take approximately five days to complete. This work will be carried out under manual control of the traffic lights during peak times, between 7.30am to 9.30am and 3.30pm to 5pm, and automatic control for the traffic lights throughout the remaining part of the day. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 198 Waltham Road.
On Monday 13 February, the same traffic management will be reinstated as necessary to enable line marking works to be completed.
Bus stop outside 151 Waltham Road, Grimsby
Works will begin on Thursday 19 January and will take approximately five days to complete. This work will be carried out under manual control of the traffic lights during peak times, between 7.30am to 9.30am and 3.30pm to 5pm, and automatic control for the traffic lights throughout the remaining part of the day. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 123 Waltham Road.
On Monday 13 February, the same traffic management will be reinstated as necessary to enable line marking works to be completed.
Bus stop outside 18 Fairfield Road, Grimsby
Works will begin on Monday 23 January and will take approximately 10 works days to complete. A new lowered pedestrian crossing point (dropped kerb) will also be installed. This work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30am and 6pm. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 5 Windermere Avenue.
On Monday 13 February, temporary two-way traffic management will be reinstated between 7.30am and 6pm to enable line marking works to be completed.
Bus stop outside 5 Windermere Avenue, Grimsby
Works will begin on Monday 30 January and will take approximately five days to complete. This work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30am and 6pm. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 51 Windermere Avenue.
On Friday 10 February and Monday 13 February, temporary two-way traffic management will be reinstated between 7.30am and 6pm to enable line marking work to be completed.
Bus stop outside number 8 Windermere Avenue, Grimsby
Works will begin on Thursday 2 February and will take approximately five days to complete. This work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30am and 6pm. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 34 Windermere Avenue.

Works will begin on Tuesday 7 February and will take approximately five days to complete. This work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30am and 6pm. Once the works have finished for the evening, the traffic management will be removed for the night and will be reinstated the next morning.
This bus stop will be temporarily out of use until the work is completed. The nearest alternative bus stop is outside number 5 Windermere Avenue.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the works. Although every effort will be made to minimise disruption throughout the works, please be aware that some elements will be noisy. The footpath will be closed, and pedestrians will be diverted onto the opposite footpath.
